CompSoc

CompSoc membership fees are currently set at £5 for students and £10 for associate members and societies.

When making any kind of payment, please fill in the online system at https://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/fees/fees.cgi . This will make it easier for us to keep track who has paid and allow us to devote more time to improving CompSoc's services rather than accounting! Filling in the online form will also prevent you receiving erroneous emails requesting payment!

Payment can be made in person, online, by post, or by slipping envelopes containing cash/cheques under the CompSoc office door. For our address and the location of the CompSoc office please refer to our contact page.

CompSoc accept the following methods of payment: cash, cheque, credit cards, Paypal and BACS.

Regardless of your choice of payment method, as stated above, please fill in the online payment system. You will be sent an acknowledgement and reference number. If you experience any problems with it, please contact admin. The CompSoc admin will confirm all payments by sending email to your CompSoc email address. In the case of BACS or items sent through the post it may take up to a month for us to confirm your payment.

• Cash

Any cash should be included in a sealed envelope along with a slip of paper with your CompSoc username written on it. If you plan on posting cash, CompSoc cannot be help responsible for failures of the postal system.

• Cheque

Please write your CompSoc username on the underside of the cheque.
All cheques should be made payable to Manchester University Computer Society.

• BACS

The CompSoc account number is 10187550 and the sort code is 16-25-14.
When transferring money by BACS please include your CompSoc username as a reference, if one is available to you.
In the past we have had success with people adding small amounts of money to their payments, e.g. an associate member might transfer £10.13 to help us identify their payment. It is imperative that you fill in the online form when you make a BACS payment for us to be able to track it.

• Paypal

To pay by Paypal, choose the option from the online payment system at https://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/fees/fees.cgi -- you should be guided through with the fully process. There is a small additional handling charge to cover the costs of using Paypal.

• Credit Card

Credit Card payments are processed through Paypal. Please choose the appropriate option at https://www.compsoc.man.ac.uk/fees/fees.cgi . There is a small additional handling charge to cover the costs of using Paypal.
